Hi, I'm Nikki.

I believe your client experience is a growth strategy, not a customer service function.

Nikki Lore

The long way here.

I grew up in Shediac, New Brunswick, a small French fishing tourist town on the east coast of Canada where the experience was the product and the entire local economy depended on whether visitors felt something worth coming back for. I did not know it then, but growing up in a place where hospitality was a survival skill instead of a department was probably the earliest version of everything I do now.

I studied East Asian Studies at university, spent a semester living in Tokyo, and left with four languages and the kind of education that cannot be put on a resume but informs everything. My twenties were not strategic; they were curious. Logistics, then corporate consulting, then personal training, then large-scale event production, and eventually three summers working hospitality at a winery, not because I could not make up my mind but because I have always operated by one principle: if I am getting paid to learn, I am in.

That collection of wildly different experiences built something nobody else has, a toolbox drawn from industries and human situations most people never encounter in a single lifetime. My friends call it Nikki Lore, the fact that I always seem to have a reference for whatever situation we are in.

And across all of it, one question has stayed constant: what does it actually take to make an experience so good that people cannot stop talking about it? The Nikki Lore, it turns out, was always pointing here.

the philosophy

Here's what I believe:

Most of the businesses I work with are trying to fix growth with more marketing, more offers, more team. What they are actually missing is a designed experience underneath all of it. Client experience is not the thing you polish once the business is stable; it is the thing that makes the business stable.

Experience is the whole business.

Customer service is a subset of experience, not its opposite; marketing, retention, and referrals all live downstream of it. Get the experience right and the rest of the business gets easier by the month.

The client belongs at the centre of every decision.

Most strategy work starts with what the founder wants to build. I start with what the client feels, needs, and remembers, then work backward. That single re-order changes what gets built, what gets prioritized, and what quietly gets cut.

Principles beat methodology.

Methods break with the next software update, algorithm shift, or new hire. Principles hold. What I build with clients is designed to outlast whatever tool or trend is currently having its moment.

This is the thinking behind the Would Recommend Standard, my framework for building the kind of business people cannot stop talking about; not because they marketed harder, but because they built something worth talking about.

Behind the Scenes

My values.

  • Principles over methodology.

Methods break with the next software update; principles hold no matter the circumstance.

  • Curiosity over conclusions.

Our job is not to judge or assume, but to create context and movement.

  • Search first, ask second.

Resourcefulness and ownership create respect and safety, and resolve conflict before it starts.

  • We play 4D chess.

Our work is intersectional in its purpose, planning, and preparedness.

  • Walk your talk.

We reject hyperbole, fear-mongering, and exaggeration; we act in congruence with what we say.

  • Human rights are non-negotiable.

Love is love. Black lives matter. Trans rights are human rights. Women's rights are intersectional.

Speaking

Book me for your stage.

Keynotes and workshops for founders and their teams; virtual or in person. Customer experience, reputation, and the operational work of becoming a business people cannot stop talking about.

Keynotes

Would Recommend

Why the businesses people rave about aren't the ones shouting the loudest.

Dismantles the myth that growth comes from louder marketing and makes the case for client experience as the most under-leveraged growth engine founder-led businesses have.

From Best to Best Known

The reputation shift that fills rooms you're not in.

For quietly excellent founders on why being the best is table stakes, being talked about is the leverage, and what has to be true operationally for your reputation to travel without you.

Workshops

The Nothing-Less Standard

Designing a client experience your team can deliver without you in the room.

A working session that walks founders through defining the promise, mapping the path, and knowing the person so their team can deliver a signature experience whether the founder is in the room or on a beach.

The Referral Recipe

How to engineer word of mouth on purpose (not by accident).

A tactical workshop that turns referrals from a lucky break into a designed system, giving founders both the plumbing that triggers them and the message that travels when they happen.

We've been burned in the past with our investments; it made me a bit jaded when trusting other people. But Nikki is the real deal. I really appreciate her patience and hard work; she is a wonderful asset to any team.
